But today I find myself with a quiet house and a gallery full of amazing pictures from yesterday evening's maternity session that I'm excited to share!!
We started off with a few shots the beautiful big sister to be... How adorable is she?! She told me she's excited to have her little brother here soon!
Can you feel the love tonight? (Forgive me for the 90s movie song reference... enjoy that one in your head for a while ;) Kudos to Dale who may be one of the most cooperative men I've ever photographed!
They really are such a sweet couple! I'm so happy for this new little blessing that's coming their way!
Look at that little man's sweet profile! I know you can't wait to hold him, Mollie & Dale!
See! I was not even joking about how cooperative this man is! Without even questioning he pulled off his socks and shoes and rolled up his pants.. And then proceeded to sink ankle deep into the black mud beneath the deceitful shining surface of the lake. (I happen to know exactly how to describe said "mud" considering, as you can see, I'm also ankle deep in it.)
The mud was more than totally worth it though to be able to capture these shots!!
This final shot is for Daddy who happens to love Mollie in purple... ;) And how much more amazing could it get with the sunset reflecting off the water?!
Mollie, you are beautiful!! And I'm so thankful that you allowed me to capture these memories for you! I'm praying that you have an easy delivery and a perfectly healthy baby boy! God bless you and your family!
Here's a little behind the scenes action for your viewing pleasure... LOL
We decided we needed to knock out two sessions in one sitting since Evermore is turning 2 and about to be a big sister in just a few weeks!
How beautiful are they?!
Garrett is not the easiest guy to photograph considering he's about 10 feet tall and I'm only half of that (plus another 5-6" or so) but they all three have gorgeous smiles!
Look at those pigtails!!! ADORABLE!!
Oh my goodness. Tiny hands and feet are some of the most precious things God every created!
So much love between these three!
WOWZERS! Raven you are stunning.
and she's over it! I can't hardly blame her. She did amazing throughout the couple hours we spent together! I heard that this may be Grandpa's favorite shot...
Raven, I know you are going to be just as great a mom to your new bundle of joy as you have always been. I am so excited for our next session together... THE BIG ARRIVAL!

*side note* I just stepped away for a moment to get my creative writing juices flowing and decided I needed brownies. So now in my oven, I have a new invention: I'm calling them "Almond Joy Brownies" (brownie mix with a layer of almond slices, coconut, and a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk in the middle)! I'll let you know how they turn out!
And on to the star of today's blog... GIDEON!
Check out the adorable shirt his mommy made for him! His birthday party theme was Little Man with Mustache's & Bow Ties so this fit in perfectly! I think he likes it!
I love those beautiful big blue eyes! Gideon is such a happy little guy. He really hammed it up!
Awwwwwww!
See what I mean?? He's such a ham! I love it!
Celebrating with family is so important! This set of grandparents came over from Mississippi just for Gideon! I know he was happy to see them!
Yay for Poppa time!!
Here's a little more doting from Mamaw and Papaw who came down from Missouri for Gideon's big day!
And posing for pics is hard work! Gideon had to grab a few winks so it's a good thing Uncle Jason's head is so comfy!
I am in love with this father/son moment!! I feel so fortunate to have captured it!!
This one above has me laughing out loud! Sara and David, I think that may be a good one to pull out in 15 years when the girlfriends come to visit! LOL!
The Gann men gathered below for a three generation shot!
These grandmas are certainly loving this baby boy to death! Any good grandma loves to fuss over her grandchildren and these ladies are no exception! This photo makes that apparent!
I sneaked in this shot as Nana and Poppa were walking away and I love the legacy of love that it represents for this family! It didn't take an hour to figure out that this family loves one another and takes commitment seriously!
Thank you, Gann family, for sharing your morning with me and allowing me to capture memories of Gideon's big day!! Praying God continues to bless you all!
By the way, the brownies are done and as far as I can tell they taste great! I didn't wait for them to cool down enough and burnt my tongue! :p
]]>Sophia has the most beautiful smile and she was so happy to show it off for the camera!
Look at her adorable first birthday shirt... her "one" onesie!
Dolly got dropped into the grass a few times, but she survived!
OH MY GOODNESS!!! That smile is the sweetest!
We were able to catch just a couple shots of these balloons before they got away!
Oh wow! I just love this one in color and black and white! We tried and tried to get Sophia to sit under the super cute bunting we strung up between the trees, but for some reason she was dead set on running from that adorable backdrop. Fortunately I was able to catch this while running backwards before I tripped over the stroller and landed on the ground. (I apparently had the eyes in the back of my head closed)
And it wouldn't be a successful one year old session without a mad face!
I love how sweetly Sophia was admiring this pretty flower. She liked it so much, she decided to admire it a little bit more... with her mouth! Hahaha!
She says, "Bring on the cake!"
And then it happened... too much of a good thing.
Sierra and Sophia, thank you for letting me share your birthday cake time! Sophia was absolutely perfect!
]]>Zoe is stunning!! And can you believe that long, gorgeous hair? Who's jealous?
I am!!
You may notice that this bridge has made a few appearances with my seniors this year... But can you blame us? It's awesome!!
Okay...
Is this not the coolest place? It's actually the White River below the Cotter Bridge that has overflowed its banks! Of course, every body of water around here this year is currently over flowing its banks... But this wooded, magical place makes for some amazing pictures.
Well hello, sunshine!!
We had to show off the really adorable bow on the back of her dress!!
Those last few shots just speak for themselves! Zoe is such a sweet, gorgeous young lady! I am so looking forward to our next session together!!! I love that all of my seniors so far have chosen to the Seasons package so we can hang out in the changing leaves, falling snow, and budding flowers!

Thank you, Dr. Larry Gould (my daytime employer)! You didn't know it but we made excellent use of your office front porch! I bet you had no idea what a lovely photo prop it was...
This was one of the fortunate summer days that blew in a huge thunderstorm across unsuspecting clear summer skies... What luck! We actually chased these ominous looking clouds down so that we could get these shots!!
So the rain stopped by the time we got to the historic Cotter Bridge! We would've braved it regardless, but Kate totally rocked a million zillion shots! I had to keep eliminating the number I wanted to share with you all! You would've been scrolling for a half hour.
One of Kate's fave ways to spend time is in music... I make it a point to always incorporate some of the senior's hobbies into their sessions!
That smile is gorgeous!!!
LOVE Love these!!!
You can see a little of the beautiful sunset behind Kate, but the sunset is not even close to the most stunning of this shot! Kate you are gorgeous!! And an absolute natural model!
I am not sure how we're going to do it, but will attempt to top this session with our time together in the Fall! I'm pretty sure God is going to be helping us out with some vibrant Autumn colors!!!
]]>I have to admit this first pose was Pinterest inspired. This little princess's momma found this and we took it and ran!
I told London to go pick out the dress she wanted to wear next and Snow White was the winner!
How adorable is she???
I think there may be a wicked witch hiding just around one of those trees...
What you can't see is that London had already eaten half of this apple! LOL! No worries. It wasn't poisonous.
Isn't this just the cutest little mermaid you've ever seen?
And here's Belle!
This nature trail is one of my favorite places to shoot! There are so many background options!
Thank you, Danny & Nell, for the use of your library! It is the perfect place for Beauty to sit and read. This Beauty happens to be reading the Bible!
Poor Cinderella has lost her shoe!!
I really wanted this one to have a dreamy look to it... It is like a scene straight out of a fairy tale
So, London, I'll be coming up with more ideas that you can pose for! You are a perfect little model!

Downtown Mountain Home offers so many different backgrounds from old rusty iron bars to stone walls from locally harvested rocks.
We loved this brightly painted gate! It matches McKenzie's eyes!! There was even a matching blue chair sitting outside that we borrowed for a few shots.. Thank you to whomever set that out there for us! ;)
Here's our borrowed blue chair! Thanks, again!!
Look at how beautiful she is!!
And we actually didn't drive around until we found a unique door with the house number of her graduating year... I just happen to be a little good with Photoshop.
As we headed back to our car to continue our adventure, we happened across this flowering tree (is it a crepe myrtle?) It was dropping little florets on us as we passed under it which stuck in McKenzie's hair and an idea blossomed (pun intended)!

Shoes were merely a prop in this session... McKenzie was barefoot the entire time!

Showing off the fringe... It's one of the best features of this awesome top! We had to show off a bit!
She is an absolute natural super model.
LOVE this shot!! It captures McKenzie's personality perfectly!
This is my current cover photo for my Facebook page (go there and like it!) because I love everything about it! Tree lined roads have always been a favorite place of mine.. Growing up in Arizona, we didn't come across these too often.
And we finally made it to the river! McKenzie and I knew from the moment we started planning that we wanted some water shots. Unfortunately, the gravel bar I had in mind was completely under rushing, really cold water! But the awesome thing is the purplish fog that was resting on top of the river!
Thank you, McKenzie, for choosing me to capture your senior year for you! I can't wait for our next session!
